Luggage Storage in Tel Aviv
Checked out of your hotel and still have the day ahead of you. Leave the bags with us instead of dragging them along Rothschild.
Same day only, and only while the shop is open: Sunday to Thursday 9:00 to 18:00, Friday 9:00 to 16:00, closed Saturday. We are a shop with a back room, not a 24 hour locker, so if your flight leaves late at night this will not work for you and we would rather you knew that now than at 20:00 outside a closed door.
If your day ends before we close, read on. RUDI is a luggage shop at HaMered 29, Tel Aviv, in the Beit HaTaasia building, open since 1984. We are the official Samsonite importer in Israel, so looking after suitcases is what we do all day anyway.
Where we are
HaMered 29, Tel Aviv. A ten minute walk from the southern end of the beach promenade and from Neve Tzedek, a few minutes from the Azrieli towers, and close to the Tel Aviv HaHagana and Savidor train stations for the ride to the airport.
What it costs, and how you get it back
20 shekels per bag for the day. 15 shekels for each additional bag.
And here is the part the locker apps cannot do: whatever you pay for storage comes straight off anything you buy from us that day. Store two bags for 35 shekels, buy a wallet or a suitcase when you collect them, and the 35 shekels comes off the price. Store for free, in effect, if you were going to buy something anyway.
We sell suitcases, Italian leather bags, wallets and belts, and we engrave them while you wait. If your case did not survive the flight, the credit is waiting for you against the replacement.
Before you come, message us
Send a WhatsApp to 054-433-3988 or call 03-517-1115 and tell us how many bags and roughly when you will collect them. We will confirm we have room that day. It takes a minute and it means you are not carrying luggage across town on a guess.
Who this actually suits
An afternoon or early evening flight, where you drop the bags in the morning and collect them by closing time.
Changing hotels, or moving from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem or the north, and you want a free day in between.
A day in the city off a cruise ship at Ashdod or Haifa, back on board in the evening.
Anyone with an appointment, a meeting or a beach afternoon and a suitcase they do not want at their feet.
Who it does not suit
A flight after 21:00, which is most long haul departures from Ben Gurion. You would not be able to collect. Saturday, when we are closed all day. And anything overnight, because nobody is in the building.
We would rather turn you away in a WhatsApp message than have you arrive to a locked door with a plane to catch.
While you are here
If a case was cracked, a wheel snapped or a handle jammed on the way in, you are standing in the right building. We hold more than 3,500 items in stock on site, so a replacement is something you can walk out with rather than order. If the damaged case is a Samsonite or an American Tourister bought abroad, we will point you to the manufacturer's authorised service centre in Israel, which repairs with original parts.
We also engrave in our own studio: a name, initials or a date on a wallet, a belt or a luggage tag, with a proof for you to approve first. It is the one souvenir from Israel that is not a fridge magnet.
