Luggage Store in Tel Aviv
RUDI is a luggage and leather goods store at HaMered 29, Tel Aviv, open since 1984. We are an official Samsonite and American Tourister importer in Israel and the exclusive importer of Old Angler, the leather workshop in Florence. The showroom is about half a dunam, some 500 square metres, with more than 3,500 items in stock.
Where we are
HaMered 29, Tel Aviv, inside the Beit HaTaasia building. It is a ten minute walk from the Neve Tzedek end of the beach promenade and a few minutes from the Azrieli towers. There is parking directly across the street, and the building car park opens up after 3pm.

What you will find
Suitcases
Samsonite and American Tourister across the full size range, from 55 cm cabin trolleys up to 84 cm. Hard shell and soft, cabin sets and family sets. Everything is original and sealed in its factory box, with the manufacturer's warranty honoured in Israel through Roltime, the official service centre. Samsonite suitcases in stock run from 723 shekels for a cabin trolley up to 3,095 shekels, American Tourister from 448 to 1,090 shekels.
Italian leather
Old Angler of Florence, which we import exclusively: briefcases, messenger bags, backpacks, weekend bags, wallets and belts, all vegetable tanned full grain leather made by hand.
Engraving and embossing in the store
We have a personalisation studio inside the store. Laser engraving of names, initials, dates, a line of handwriting or a photograph onto wallets, notebooks and luggage tags, and hot stamping in gold or silver onto leather, including belts and prayer books. You approve a proof before we start.
If you are visiting Israel
Travellers come to us for three things. A replacement when a case is damaged in transit, because the suitcases are in the store and you can leave with one the same day. A leather gift from Italy, personalised in our studio. And advice in plain English about what will survive the next twenty flights.
If your Samsonite or American Tourister case was bought abroad and needs a wheel, a handle or a lock, the manufacturer’s authorised service centre in Israel handles it with original parts, and we will point you straight to them. Every other repair goes to Itzik's luggage repair lab, which we work with and recommend.

Good quality luggage that does not cost a fortune
The question we hear most from visitors is where to buy good quality but affordable luggage in Israel. Our answer is usually American Tourister. It belongs to the Samsonite group, is serviced by the same official service centre in Israel, and a comparable model typically costs 30% to 50% less than Samsonite, with a 3 year warranty instead of 5. A soft cabin trolley starts at 448 shekels and a hard shell cabin case at around 616 shekels. If you fly often and want the lightest shell or the longest warranty, a Samsonite cabin trolley starts at 723 shekels.
Luggage storage in Tel Aviv
Checked out of your hotel and flying tonight? You can leave your bags with us for the day while you see the city. It costs 20 shekels a bag, same day only, during opening hours, so collect before 18:00 Sunday to Thursday or before 14:00 on Friday. There is no storage on Saturday, when the store is closed.
Repairs: suitcases, bags and leather
We do not repair in the store. Repairs are handled by Itzik, an experienced luggage repairer we work with and recommend, at Itzik's luggage repair lab in Modiin.
Samsonite and American Tourister under warranty. The manufacturer's authorised service centre in Israel, Roltime, handles these with original parts. Call them on 03-9223728.
Everything else. Wheels, telescopic handles, zips, locks and shells on any brand, plus leather bags, wallets and belts, go to Itzik.
